Blob

blob

That blob that dripped into the Evil Inc universe a few updates ago is a small mess right now, but it’s going to be an even bigger mess in a short while.

The Blob The Blab

Not everything that grows is a monster. Take the Kickstarter for the ninth Evil Inc graphic novel, The Ruby of Ragnoor. That campaign grew into a fully-funded project at roughly halfway through the campaign. If you’ve already pledged, thank you! If you haven’t, this is a sure thing, and now’s your chance to the the book before it’s available in stores — at a terrific price. And there are tons of rewards to entice you to do so.

nsfw comicsGood news for my NSFW fans…

…the one request I’ve gotten most often has been to make the NSFW digital download available to a wider range of reward tiers. This PDF collects all of the NSFW work — comics, cartoons and commissions — that I’ve created since last April for my Patreon supporters. It’s 84 libidinous pages, and it collects all 11 Evil Inc After Dark stories along with 28 uncensored Courting Disaster cartoons and 20 commissioned illustrations.

I’m making it available at all tiers as a $20 add-on.

How does the add-on work?

Easy peasy…

  • Press the ‘Manage Your Pledge’ button on the Kickstarter page for the book. If you haven’t pledged yet, this will say “Back This Project.”
  • Increase your pledge by $20. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR REWARD TIER.
  • After the Kickstarter campaign has ended, you will receive a survey. If you’ve pledged at least $20 over your reward tier, it will give you an opportunity to indicate that and I will send you the PDF when I fill your order.

Please note: You must be 18 or older to receive this reward.

Stretch Goals?

This is usually where most creator start pitching Stretch Goals. But the only stretch goals I had in mind were for (1) a hardcover version of the book and (2) an omnibus book collecting the first three volumes of Evil Inc — the first two of which are practically out of print.

I don’t know that there’s a particularly strong demand for a hardcover version of this book, and the second option… I think that’s big enough to be its own Kickstarter instead of being a rider on this one.

The Blob in Phables

blobThe movie, “The Blob” was the subject of a Phables story. In it, a monster-movie fan gets a little sidetracked by Blobfest, an annual even in Phoenixville, Pa., while waiting for his wife to deliver their baby.

Blobfest is held at the Colonial Theatre, site of the iconic scene in the movie, “The Blob,” in which all of the terrified moviegoers run screaming from a movie theater invaded by the shapeless monster.

The next Blobfest is July 8-10.

Phables, my journalistic comic about everyday life in Philadelphia was nominated for an Eisner Award. The best way to read it is in the printed collection, available here.

And because it is still a source of confusion…
